About Spur
Spur is a striking border collie/cattle dog mix with a classic tricolor coat and a strong, agile build. He’s been waiting with Four Paws Rescue for a while, and it’s about time he found the right match. Spur thrives as an only pet—he can be bossy and occasionally nippy with other dogs, and he does not do well with cats. He’s ideally matched with someone who enjoys an active routine and can dedicate quality one-on-one time for plenty of adventures. If you’re looking for a companion to share hikes, runs, or road trips and want a loyal partner all to yourself, Spur could be a great fit. Spur is neutered and his vaccinations are up to date, so he’s ready to transition directly into his new home. Giving him a forever family means providing structure, enrichment, and a lot of focused attention. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

Questions about Spur
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Spur, as a border collie/cattle dog mix, will feel most at home in an environment that offers space to roam and lots of mental stimulation. He’ll do best with people who enjoy outdoor activities and can spend time engaging him.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
With Spur's cattle dog and border collie background, he benefits from a home with a secure yard or ready access to parks and trails. Regular outdoor exercise is a must to keep him happy and balanced.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Border collie and cattle dogs can be good with children, especially when socialized early; however, they sometimes herd or nip during play. Spur will be best in a home without small kids, given his tendency to be bossy.
