Kokache was found as a stray in Texas and has turned out to be one of the sweetest, easiest dogs to have around in her Texas foster home. She is house trained with a doggy door and willingly goes into her crate. She is quiet, gentle, and even-tempered, and she blended into her foster home almost instantly. She quickly figured out the household routine! Kokache is incredibly affectionate and truly wants to be a lap dog. She loves to cuddle and will happily sleep in the bed if you let her. Most of the time she is relaxed and content, though every now and then she gets a little bouncy and playful. Kokache does well around other dogs and would likely adapt well to many types of homes. She is a simple, loving companion who just wants to be close to her people and be part of everyday life. Kokache is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 03/07/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Ruff Start's veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. ---- This pet is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease and is available through our Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) program. Activity must be restricted for several weeks during recovery. RSR will cover the full cost of treatment. RSR will provide heartworm preventatives until the retest is due.
