About Jellybean
Our adoption application can be found at the bottom of this pet's bio. Once your application has been approved, we can arrange a virtual meet & greet with you and Jellybean. Jellybean is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up. Meet Jellybean! Jellybean is a 1 year old female who was found wandering as a stray on the streets of Houston. A kind Samaritan saw how friendly she was and picked her up. He thought that surely she had to belong to a family, but no one ever came forward looking for her, so we brought her into our rescue! Jellybean is fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and ready to find a family to call her own. She currently weighs 50 pounds. Jellybean is very dog friendly and enjoys running and playing with other dogs. She's great when meeting other dogs and will respectfully sniff and then she's running around with them like they've been friends their whole lives. She is still a young pup, so her energy is medium to high. She enjoys going for walks, runs and playing in the yard, but is also happy to snuggle up on the couch when it's time to relax. Jellybean is also cat friendly and currently lives with 2 cats. Initially, she left the cats alone, but now she likes to play with them. She'll chase them around, but she's always gentle with them and is smart enough to back off when they smack her if they don't feel like playing. Jellybean is kid friendly and has been around an 8 year old. She was very sweet and playful towards the child. Jellybean is great on leash! She will walk right beside me, but she's also happy to keep the pace if I take her out on a run. I've taken her to a busy park in the area and she's always very good and listens. She'll stop to sniff, but between runners, walkers, cars, other dogs on leash, she's always a very good girl. Jellybean is fully potty trained and only goes potty outside. Jellybean has never been crated in her foster home, but she does really well if left out to free roam. Here's a small blurb about Jellybean from her foster family: Jellybean has got to be the sweetest girl! I can tell she had a rough life before I found her, but she's such a warrior and she doesn't let her past ruin her sweet and loving personality. She was initially found with an embedded collar, (she's all healed up now) so we use a harness and she does really well with this. She listens incredibly well and I truly feel like she understands right from wrong. She's very cuddly and is always excited to see me when I get home from work. She loves being outside and would enjoy a family who will take her along for adventures. She's always ready for a slow walk or even going for a jog. She's great about greeting people at the door and is always friendly! We only had one incident when a friend was wearing a beanie and she barked at them, but once they took the beanie off, she was happy-go-lucky again. I'm confident she's going to make someone very, very happy! Interested in learning more about Jellybean or applying to adopt her?
