Java is currently in a foster home in HOUSTON, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up. Our adoption application can be found at the bottom of this pet’s bio. Once your application has been approved, we can arrange a virtual meet & greet with you and Java. Meet Java! Java is a 8 month old (as of 2/1/26) male pittie / lab mix. Java is fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. While Java is still a pup now, we do anticipate he will grow to be a medium sized pup. His mom is around 40 pounds, but we have no clue about the puppy daddy and his size. . Java is ready to find a family to call his own! Java came to us as an owner surrender. A man reached out and needed help with 19 dogs that he had been taking in off the streets and Java was one of them. Thankfully, we had amazing foster homes step up and we were able to take in 9 of the dogs. Java is now in a foster home and waiting to find his forever home! Java is such a young pup that he’s friendly with everyone he meets! He currently lives in a foster home with other dogs and cats and does great with everyone. He also has children frequently visit and he is loving and playful towards them. He enjoys playing and his foster mom describes him as “so sweet and loving". Java is still a young pup, so his potential new family will need to understand that he still has some puppy energy to burn, BUT he also enjoys curling up on the couch and watching TV with his people. Java is fully potty and crate trained! He currently goes into the crate while his foster mom is away from the home for work or errands. Java is your typical puppy and loves running and playing with other dogs, so another dog in the home would be great, but isn’t a deal breaker. All of our puppies under the age of 1 year are highly encouraged / recommended to attend some sort of puppy obedience classes / training with their new family.
