Meet Ozzie Anna Ozzie Anna is a 3-year-old, 11.5-pound sweetheart who made her way here all the way from Mexico - and oh, does this little girl have stories to tell. Found with a very large hernia between her back legs (likely from being hit and rolled by a car), she has already proven she's a survivor. After surgery and lots of TLC, you would never know she went through such a scary ordeal. She's healed beautifully and is doing great! Now? She's focused on the important things in life: snuggles, squeaky toys, and sleeping under the covers like the tiny queen she is. Ozzie Anna is an absolute love bug. She gives the sweetest kisses, adores cuddling, and will happily burrow under your blankets at bedtime - her favorite place in the world is tucked in next to her person. She's active, agile (seriously, this girl can jump surprisingly high!), and hilarious in the little goofy things she does to make you laugh. And squeaky toys? They don't stand a chance. She does wonderfully with other dogs and is truly easygoing in her day-to-day life. She mostly prefers her toys but gets along beautifully with her canine friends. She does not love being crated - unless the door is open, in which case she'll happily hang out in there like it was her idea all along. Left loose with toys, she does great and is not destructive. If you try to kennel her, she will bark. Otherwise, she is quiet. Car rides can make her tummy a little queasy, and she gets nervous at the vet (which is completely understandable given what she's been through). She prefers to take things slow when meeting new people, so a calm home without children would be best for her. At the end of the day, Ozzie Anna is an easy, unproblematic little dog who simply wants a cozy place and a person to love. She's survived the hard part of life - now she's ready for the soft blankets, warm laps, and forever home she deserves.
