About Sofia
Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Sofia, a sweet, long-legged girl who is quietly learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. Sofia is shy with new people and will need time to warm up, but with patience and kindness, she begins to show her gentle personality. Because she spent time living on the streets in Mexico, trust doesn't come instantly for her, but once it does, it's truly special. Sofia is an active girl who loves to run and play in the yard, happily stretching her long legs and showing off just how fast she can be. She isn't leash trained yet, so a secure, fenced yard will help her feel safe while she enjoys her outdoor time. She is kennel trained and continuing to work on potty training. Sofia doesn't seem bothered by the snow and is adjusting well to new routines. She does very well with other dogs, and it's felt she would thrive in a home with another friendly, confident dog to help guide her and build her confidence with people. Sofia is looking for a calm, understanding home where she can move at her own pace and continue learning that she is safe and loved. With time, she will make a loyal and rewarding companion. Fun fact: With a birthday of January 28, Sofia is an Aquarius—a sign known for its loyalty and unique spirit! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
