About Emerald
Emerald is a striking young pup with a gentle soul and a big, eager heart. At just seven months old, he's already proven himself to be wonderfully social and resilient. After arriving in New York, NY from North Carolina as part of a surrendered litter, Emerald has adjusted quickly and made an impression on everyone who meets him. Genetically, Emerald is a lively mix: Doberman and three classic hound breeds—Redbone Coonhound, Treeing Walker Coonhound, and Bluetick Coonhound. The combination gives him a balance of loyalty, intelligence, and curious hound energy, with a playful and affectionate side that draws people in. With a short, chocolate-brown and black coat and an athletic frame, Emerald is growing into a large, sturdy dog and expects to mature around 60 pounds. He gets along beautifully with children and other dogs; he thrives on playtime, pack companionship, and enjoys exploring outside. While he loves sniffing and investigating like any good hound, those Doberman instincts keep him tuned into his family. Cuddles are high on his list of favorites, and he's eager to please and bond with his new people. House trained and up to date on vaccinations, Emerald is hoping for a home that cherishes and guides him as he grows. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
