About Lex

Your new best friend is just one click away. Lex is a sweet, laid-back young guy with a calm presence and a heart full of love. At just six months old, he already shows the makings of a dog who will seamlessly find his place in a caring home. Arriving in Connecticut from North Carolina thanks to a rescue partnership, Lex comes from a large litter that was surrendered when his original owner could no longer provide care. Despite a shaky start, Lex remains gentle, steady, and truly affectionate. His calm nature and easygoing demeanor set him apart, making him delightful company for both people and pets. Lex is a smart and devoted mix, with DNA revealing Doberman and three hound breeds—Redbone Coonhound, Treeing Walker Coonhound, and Bluetick Coonhound. This combination means Lex brings intelligence, loyalty, and relaxed hound charisma. He is expected to reach about 60 pounds when fully grown, settling comfortably into the medium to large size range. He is wonderful with children, exuding patience and warmth, and enjoys spending time with other dogs, gravitating toward peaceful play and companionship. Lex’s temperament is more mellow and observant than his siblings', yet always ready for cuddles after a fun walk or exploration. His hound heritage fuels his love for gentle adventures while his Doberman side shines through in his attentiveness and deep attachment to people. Lex hopes to find a forever family who will support his gentle nature and allow him to grow at his own pace in a loving, patient environment.
