About Lex
Lex is a six-month-old puppy with a calm, easygoing nature and a loyal disposition. He came up from North Carolina with his siblings after being surrendered as a litter, and despite some early upheaval, he remains gentle, affectionate, and remarkably steady for his age. His DNA test shows a blend of Doberman and three hound breeds—Redbone Coonhound, Treeing Walker Coonhound, and Bluetick Coonhound—so he blends hound curiosity and Doberman loyalty into a package that is equal parts intelligent and sweet. Lex is expected to become a large dog, topping out around 60 pounds. He has a short, reddish chestnut coat that’s easy to maintain. He’s good with children, patient, and tolerant, and he fits in easily with other dogs, preferring relaxed play and camaraderie. Compared to his more boisterous sisters, Lex is more thoughtful—he tends to watch the world before joining in—and really thrives on calm companionship. After a walk, he’ll gladly curl up with his people for close time and cuddles. Lex hasn’t mastered house training yet, but his mellow demeanor and willingness to learn mean he’ll get there with patience. He’s looking for a family that appreciates a laid-back, sweet young dog ready to form a lasting bond. Lex is available in New York, NY. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
