Meet Maggie -- an 8-year-old Chihuahua mix with a tender heart and a whole lot of love to give. 💕 Maggie was owner released and is now hoping to find a patient, understanding forever family. This sweet girl does wonderfully with dogs, cats, and children over the age of 12. She is also house and crate trained, which makes her an easy addition to the right home. Maggie does have some barrier issues. When approached in her kennel, she may snarl -- but this is simply her way of saying she feels nervous or overwhelmed in that setting. Outside of the kennel environment, she is a loving and gentle companion. She just needs a home that will give her the time and space to feel safe and build trust at her own pace. Weighing 18 pounds, Maggie is heartworm negative and up to date on vaccinations. She's ready for a fresh start with someone who sees past her kennel behavior and understands that sometimes the sweetest dogs just need a little patience.
