Woofie landed in the rescue as a young shepherd mix and carried some anxiety from the disruption early in his life. Since then he has worked hard, spending time in the Happy Hounds Prison Dog Program where he learned leash walking, basic obedience, and gained some confidence around other dogs. While Woofie has improved, his comfort with new dogs varies, so introductions should be slow and thoughtful. He needs an adopter who can offer patience, love, and ongoing training to help him grow.
