Koda
AvailableKoda is a large, adult male Shepsky (German Shepherd and Husky mix) currently located in Baltimore, MD. He is neutered and brimming with energy, making him a great choice for an active household. His unique heterochromatic eyes are one of his most distinguishing features. Koda thrives on companionship, is house trained, and adapts best when he can enjoy activity-packed days. He does best without feline companions and is looking for a home able to match his enthusiasm for life.
About Koda
Koda was found wandering the streets in Bowie, MD in mid-March and, despite efforts to find his original owner, no one stepped forward. Several foster families welcomed him, helping him acclimate and discover his upbeat, affectionate nature. Koda is about two years old and is thought to be a Shepsky (German Shepherd and Husky mix). He’s instantly recognizable by his striking eyes—one vivid blue, the other a blue and brown mix. He has a lot of energy and thrives on regular walks, games of fetch, and plenty of snuggle time. Koda greets his people with kisses each morning and offers classic loyal companionship. He’s dog-friendly, but slow introductions work best—the excitement can overwhelm quieter or older dogs. He’s best suited as the only pet or with a dog that matches his energy. Cats aren’t a match for him due to a high prey drive. Koda doesn’t chew on household items and has done well left uncrated for up to eight hours. He adapts better in a crate-free environment. He tends to bond faster with women and can be wary of men at first, often needing a slower introduction. Koda needs an adopter ready for daily activity and someone patient enough to let him adjust on his own timeline. He’s a healthy snacker, partial to watermelon, carrots, and broccoli. If you’re looking for a devoted, energetic companion and have an active lifestyle, Koda is ready to become your loyal friend. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
