About Crimsongentle

Crimsongentle, a small Shih Tzu/Maltese mix, is currently being fostered in Virginia after coming from Florida when his family was no longer able to care for him. Despite being blind due to SARDS and managing kidney disease, Crimsongentle doesn’t let his health slow him down—instead, he has settled in with four other blind dogs and gets along well with them. He also ignores the family cat and has shown himself to be friendly and gentle, willing to share his bed and rarely barking now that he’s comfortable with his routine. Crimsongentle is house trained and sleeps soundly through the night. He loves belly and head rubs, and toys bring him a special joy. He’s currently on a prescription kidney diet along with daily medication for blood pressure, and ear infections are being treated. Anyone considering adopting Crimsongentle should be prepared to work closely with a veterinarian regarding canine kidney disease and provide him with a caring and understanding home. Since he hasn’t spent time with children, a home with older kids or adults is best, with supervision always recommended around young children. If you can provide a gentle, safe environment, this special little dog will reward you with affection and companionship. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
