About Chia
Chia is a devoted Shih Tzu who attaches quickly—he’s one of those classic velcro dogs who wants to be close at all times. He’ll trail you from room to room, settle beside you on the sofa, or curl up at your feet just to be near. Playful and affectionate, Chia has energy to burn and can’t resist a brisk walk or a toy tossed his way; his zoomies will probably crack you up. At home, he keeps mostly quiet, just announcing visitors with a bark or two to keep you in the know. Chia responds to basic cues like “sit” and “down,” and his food motivation makes training a breeze if you keep at it. Though leash walks and meeting other dogs can get him excited—he sometimes reacts at first—he settles with slow introductions and patience. He warms up gradually to new folks, especially men, but never shows aggression, just caution until he feels safe. Chia is well-mannered for the vet and groomer, dislikes being crated, but can chill quietly when left alone. This is a pup who needs a patient, active household ready to give him their time and consistency—if you’re looking for a loyal sidekick, Chia is all in. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
