About Chance
Chance is a big-hearted Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd mix who’s looking for a new family after his longtime people hit tough times. He’s 7 years old, housebroken, and tips the scale around 60 lbs. Chance grew up in a loving home and knows the ropes indoors. He’s got a gentle, kind way with kids and is especially patient and loving with them. Chance can be a bit wary of men at first, but he loosens up and becomes himself with a little time. He’s social with other dogs, though sometimes the feeling isn’t mutual—he’s more enthusiastic about dog friends than they are about him. High prey drive means cats are definitely not a fit for Chance. He dislikes being crated, but is perfectly content left alone in the house all day and won’t have accidents. Chance is living with controlled seizures and needs daily medication, along with a special diet for his neurological health. Adopters will need to be prepared for these ongoing needs—this is a commitment, not a starter dog. He’s neutered, vaccinated, and on heartworm prevention. Chance is in Tulsa, OK and his adoption fee is sponsored. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
