About Skillet
Skillet is a 2.5-year-old pit bull terrier mix with a huge heart and bottomless energy. She approaches every day like it’s the best thing that ever happened to her and is never happier than when she's deep into a wild game of tug or rock-wrestling (her favorite solo sport). Playtime for Skillet is basically a monster truck rally—big, loud, and physical—so she can easily overwhelm dogs who prefer their socializing gentle. She shines with other confident, playful dogs who understand her rambunctious style, but would do best in a home that knows and loves bully breeds. Skillet is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows her basics, so living with her is as straightforward as it gets for a dog this exuberant. She recently bounced back from TPLO surgery, not that she ever let a bum leg slow her down. Because she’s so animated, a home with older kids suits her best, and her interest in cats puts feline-free homes at the top of her list. Skillet packs loyalty and fun into every moment and will make her new family laugh—guaranteed. She’s currently available for adoption in the greater Seattle area and will be ready to transition back to foster care at the end of June 2026. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
