About Kiki
Kiki is an estimated 9-month-old, medium-sized female staffy mix who came to the mainland from Hawaii after being found as a stray with her siblings. While a bit anxious at first, Kiki's sweetness shows once she warms up—she’s eager to please, food motivated, and quick to learn. She loves snoozing or chewing on bones at home just as much as she enjoys outdoor play and running zoomies with other dogs in the yard. Kiki is noticeably more comfortable and confident when there's another dog around, especially one who’s well-adjusted and enjoys her company. She's thoughtful, silly, and affectionate in familiar settings but needs a calm and patient handler to help her keep building confidence, especially in new situations and when out on leash (cars and loud noises still rattle her). She does well with all dogs but can overwhelm shy or grumpy dogs with her enthusiasm, so ongoing guidance is beneficial. Kiki barks at alarming noises but settles quickly and rarely barks when kenneled. She already knows basic commands and is making steady progress with training. Kiki’s best chance at thriving is in a calm home with a confident, playful dog and humans committed to working patiently on her socialization and training. Once comfortable, she’s playful and loving—and those eyes are hard to resist. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
