About Dakota

Dakota is one of the resilient dogs rescued from a difficult hoarding situation in Dresden, TN. At about 2 years old, she has left her hard start far behind, learning quickly in a loving foster home and later at a doggie daycare. Her black and cream coat is soft and medium in length, and at a medium size of around 41 pounds, she's just the right fit for many homes. Dakota began as a timid soul, but her confidence grew as she bonded with other dogs—especially her sister, Ducky—and people who showed her real kindness. Now, Dakota enjoys the comforts of indoors, snuggling up with humans, and playing both inside and out. She thrives with friendly dog companions and continues to show a gentle, affectionate demeanor. While not yet fully house trained, Dakota is learning fast thanks to routines and lots of attention. She loves playtime and warms up to people who give her space and patience. Dakota has been spayed and is up to date on all her vaccines, so she’s ready for her next chapter in a home where she’ll be cherished. As a fun bonus, Dakota is a Sagittarius—dogs born under this sign often have a joyful spirit and love for adventure. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
