About Dakota
One of many remarkable dogs rescued from a hoarding situation in Dresden, TN, is getting a second chance. After enduring dire conditions, they're now receiving essential care and learning new skills in foster homes. With time and patience, they'll flourish as cherished pets. This is Dakota. She is estimated to be about 2 years old (born around 12/15/2023. She is medium sized at 41 pounds and is full grown. She has experienced a life no dog should ever have to endure - but she hasn't let that dull her shine. Dakota came to us so frightened but a little less shy than some of the dogs from Dresden. Ducky and Deidre leaned on her as support. Dakota and Ducky were spayed and after 3 weeks moved from a foster who was a little full to a doggie boarding/daycare at Happie Hounds in Mt. Juliet. She is thriving there. She is currently housed in a run with her friend and sister Ducky. She has helped Ducky come out of her shell. Now she's a spoiled baby that prefers a warm indoor , snuggles and playtime inside and outside with her human, and playtime with other pups who have only known the good life. They taught her that life is fun as a dog and that some people are nice. The adoption fee is $350 which covers spay/neuter, rabies, Bordetella, 3 Parvo /distemper vaccines, 2 Lepto vaccines, several rounds of deworming, microchip, and a heartworm test.
