About Ollie
Ollie is a smaller standard Australian Shepherd, around 3 to 4 years old, weighing in at 32 pounds right now. He needs to gain some weight and will probably fill out closer to 40 pounds with good nutrition. At first, Ollie can be a little shy and it takes him some time to feel comfortable, but once he settles in, he’s gentle and genuinely sweet. His crate and house training are already on track with routine breaks, and he’s reliable on a leash. Car rides are not an issue for him either. Ollie gets along well with children, cats, and female dogs, though he tends to be grumbly with other males. Now that he’s been neutered, these tendencies might fade, but it’s worth keeping in mind if you have other dogs at home. Chickens, however, are a no-go—he has a history of chasing and killing them, possibly out of hunger, so a chicken-free home is a firm requirement. Given his past as an escape artist, he’ll need a tall wooden or solid fence, as chain link just isn’t enough. Ollie is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested for heartworm and tick diseases, so he’s covered on the health front. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
