About Violet Flakey

Meet Violet! She is a Border Collie mix with maybe some Australian Shepard or a few other breeds. She weighs 42 pounds and is 6-7 years old. Ms. Violet came to us with the worst skin conditions we have ever seen and it took lots of time and treatment to clear it all up. Sadly, she will never get all of her fur back — but we think she is the cutest thing ever! And the upside is she will leave no fur on your furniture :) She will require some cream at times to protect her exposed skim from the elements. Violet is amazing with children of all ages. She does great on a leash and in a crate, and once she is shown where she is allowed to potty in her new environment, she does great with that too! Interested in becoming this pup’s forever home? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application. If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs — for them, one application will be fine. Because we have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, your application may be missed if you only apply once. Find more adoptable pets, news, and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws. We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions finding our fur babies the most loving homes. Please do not apply if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Violet the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age-appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention, and travel expenses. All our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for their transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
