Stormy Leigh is a 10-month-old Standard Australian Shepherd with a vibrant personality and lots of energy to match. After spending two months in a shelter following an owner surrender, she has quickly adapted to home life, excelling with both crate and house training. Stormy Leigh thrives around other dogs and needs an active playmate who can keep up with her. She’s eager to please, but hasn’t had much structure before, so basic training and guidance are essential as she matures. She shows an athletic nature—hopping across the yard like a deer—and would shine in activities like agility or even just playful sock diving. This is not a dog for sedentary households. Stormy Leigh has a strong need for physical and mental activity, and a family ready to provide structure and a "job" will help her flourish. Because she is highly energetic and can be vocal when she wants attention, she won’t be happy in an apartment or condo; a fenced yard is a must. While she enjoys children, her energy level may be too much for little ones, but she should do well with teens and older kids. Stormy Leigh gets along with both dogs and cats. She is already spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on preventatives. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
