Meet Maya! Maya is a super sweet, smart, and funny girl who is ready to find her forever home. She already knows three commands — sit, turn, and high five — and she’s eager to learn even more! Maya is very well-mannered, polite, and low maintenance. She loves attention and being brushed, and she’s always happy to show affection. She can be talkative when she wants something, usually when she’s asking for attention. She may be a little nervous at first, but she quickly warms up with time… and of course, treats! Maya is accustomed to a catio and loves spending time on a screened-in porch (patio), where she sits safely and watches the world go by—listening to birds chirp and squirrels running along the fence line. It’s one of her favorite spots! She has never been alone before, so her ideal home would be one where she isn’t left home alone for long periods of time. She thrives with companionship and loves being part of a busy, loving household. Maya would do best in a home with a friendly cat or no cats at all, where she can be the center of attention. She also gets along great with friendly dogs, and loves being part of a loving family. Maya is playful and curious. She enjoys feather wands, laser lights, treats (which she loves to slap around the house before eating!), scratching posts, and catnip. She also loves lounging in a sunny window—that’s her favorite spot! Maya is located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast but can be transported to the northeast. Her adoption fee is $300.
