They don’t call me Champ because I win trophies… I win hearts! I might be a little shy at first and new people can make me feel unsure, but give me a little time, some patience, and maybe a sunny spot to lounge in, and you’ll see why I’m such a catch. Once I feel safe, I turn into the sweetest, most lovable boy who just wants to be near his people and show off his goofy side. I do great with other dogs and love to play once I’m comfortable. I’d be happiest in a home with kids over the age of 8 who understand that sometimes a Champ needs a little space while he warms up. As for cats, my history is unknown, so a no cat home would be best for now. Since I’m still young, positive reinforcement training will help me build confidence and keep adding skills to my winner’s resume. A note for my future humans: I am a jumper, so a secure yard is a must to keep me safe while I explore.
