About Ducky

Ducky is an almost two-year-old pit bull terrier mix with a big heart and even bigger personality. She came to her foster family with zero training, but in just her first month she picked up plenty of commands and found her stride. Ducky is blind, though you’d never know by watching her chase after toys or nose around her home. She adores playing tug-of-war, walks, learning new tricks (especially for treats), and exploring. Fetch is more of a solo treasure hunt, but she has a blast every time. Snuggles and kisses are non-negotiable in Ducky’s world. She sleeps in her own bed but likes to sneak in for morning cuddles. She’s potty trained, crate trained, and knows an impressive list of cues, including sit, stay, up, down (stairs), and left. Her sense of smell and hearing are keen, and she keeps her foster family laughing with her stubborn, sassy streak. Ducky would thrive as the only dog in a home and would do best with older children, as her exuberance and vision loss make rough introductions tricky. Her energy is balanced by expert-level napping—a skill she picked up from her foster siblings. Ducky’s journey is a testament to her resilience and adaptability, making her a one-of-a-kind companion for the right family. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
