Meet Spence! Spence is a laid-back, lovable goofball with a heart as big as his personality. He’s pretty chill most of the time, but when playtime starts, he’s all in! Spence loves to initiate play with other dogs and has done great with them so far—he’s non-reactive and social—but he’d also be perfectly happy soaking up all the love as an only dog. This sweet boy’s favorite things include cuddling, belly rubs, and anything soft to lay on. He truly lives to be loved. Personal space? Never heard of it. Spence will happily bump into you, jump up for hugs, or accidentally ram into you while playing because he’s just that excited to be close to his people. Spence is mostly house trained and will whimper to let you know when he needs to go out, though he’s still learning and may have an occasional accident. He’s also working on his leash manners and improving every day. He does bark at the door and has recently started announcing when people walk by—just doing his “neighborhood watch” duties. One thing to know about Spence: he is not a fan of snow or cold weather and would much prefer a warm, cozy home with plenty of soft spots to relax.
