About Harlem
Harlem, a bright and spirited 2½-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix, lost her home when her family’s situation changed. Her sharp mind and playful personality stand out—she learns quickly, responds to structure, and bares her affectionate side when feeling safe. Harlem thrived in foster care: crate trained, housebroken, and loving to her people. But kennel life has been stressful, and she’s eager to trade that for the stability and comfort of a real home. She thrives on attention and would do best with older children who can keep up with her energy and enjoy her active, fun-loving style. Harlem is fully vetted, spayed, and ready for someone who values a loyal companion eager to share her affection and personality. She does not get along with cats or other dogs, so she’ll need to be the only pet in your household. If you are local to New Jersey or surrounding areas, Harlem is ready to meet the person who will give her the happiness and security she deserves. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
