About Haruto
Your new best friend is just one click away. Haruto is a very sweet boy who adores cuddling and loves to perch on your shoulders for extra closeness. Even with his diagnosis of stage 2 renal disease, Haruto’s affectionate spirit shines through every day. He will need ongoing special care that includes kidney-supportive supplements, a canned renal diet, and in time, daily subcutaneous fluids; right now, he’s doing wonderfully and is especially hydrated thanks to his increased thirst. Haruto was surrendered to a shelter when he experienced inappropriate elimination, which led to his renal diagnosis. Since being in foster care, he’s been faithful to his litterbox, though he has a bit of a quirky habit of wanting to use the bathtub for bathroom breaks. Haruto would thrive with an adopter who is patient and has some medical experience, as he needs someone attentive to his health needs. Despite his medical challenges, he has so much love to give, and if a forever family isn’t found, he’ll remain safe as a sanctuary foster. He comes neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has tested negative for FELV/FIV. Adopters will also receive an adoption package of goodies valued at approximately $100, redeemable at participating pet store partners after adoption. Haruto is fostered through Misfit Felines Inc, a dedicated foster-based rescue, where all cats begin their journey in loving home environments. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
