About Bumble
Meet Bumble – Your Snowy-White Adventure Buddy! (Named after the Abominable Snowman from Rudolph’s Island of Misfit Toys — and just as unforgettable) Bumble is a 10-month to 1-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog with a stunning merle coat, a brilliant mind, and an athletic spirit to match. True to his working-dog roots, Bumble is curious, fast, and always taking in the world around him — and wow, does he love to use his nose! What We Love About Bumble: Incredibly smart & eager to learn – Knows sit, come, and touch Affectionate once settled – A true snuggler who leans in, hugs back, and gives sweet kisses when he feels safe Great with handling – Comfortable with full body touch, mouth checks, and food bowl interactions Loves enrichment – Sniffing, exploring, playing fetch, and using his brain are his jam Active & athletic – Runs like a greyhound, hops like a parkour pro, and keeps life exciting Excellent walking buddy (with structure) – Improves quickly once his energy is burned off Dog-selective but capable – Has walked nicely with other calm dogs and does best with polite canine companions A Working Dog at Heart: Catahoulas are intelligent, independent working dogs, and Bumble is no exception. He thrives when he’s mentally and physically engaged. Before walks, Bumble benefits from a good run in a secure area to burn off steam — after that, he settles in beautifully and is highly responsive. Because of his breed traits, some behaviors (like prey drive and alertness) are managed rather than trained away. He has shown interest in wildlife scents and may not be a good fit for homes with cats or small animals. Bumble’s Ideal Home: Bumble will shine brightest with: An active, dog-savvy adopter A structured routine with exercise + mental enrichment A secure yard or access to safe running space Calm, respectful children (fast movement can excite him) Patience as he continues to decompress and gain confidence He can be aloof at first, especially in new environments, but once he feels safe, his affectionate and loyal side truly comes out. Watching him relax and choose connection is incredibly rewarding. The Heart Beneath the Hustle: Bumble is still adjusting to shelter life and can get overwhelmed — but every day he grows more comfortable. He’s begun resting on his own, seeking out affection, and showing just how deeply he bonds with his people. Beneath his alert eyes and busy paws is a dog who wants to trust, love, and belong. If you’re looking for a brilliant, athletic companion who will challenge you, grow with you, and reward you with deep loyalty and snuggles once the day winds down — Bumble might just be your perfect match. Come meet Bumble, spend time with him, and let him show you who he really is.
