Earnie is a 2 year and 8 month old, neutered male American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier mix with a striking black and white/cream short coat. He is not house trained and currently resides in Choctaw, OK. His vaccinations are up to date.

About Earnie

Earnie is in urgent need of a way out of kennel life. He came from an abusive situation at the Muskogee Animal Shelter with both his ears and genital area mutilated, leaving him at risk for infection and needing major surgery. Since then, the vets have given him a second shot—he dribbles a bit as a result, but is much healthier now. Sadly, most of his life has been spent behind bars, leaving his spirit stretched thin. The stress of constant confinement is taking a toll, and it's clear he isn’t built for the shelter system. Earnie is affectionate and craves space and freedom. He’s happiest outdoors and would thrive as a shop or yard dog, a companion who loves toys, chewies, and the simple pleasure of sun and fresh air. While he isn’t house trained, he does get along with other dogs and children, making him a good fit for a home that welcomes him as he is. Earnie needs someone patient who can give him room to roam and, more than anything, kindness he’s rarely known. He is ready for someone to step up and show him what belonging feels like.
