About Oreo

Oreo is a one-of-a-kind mystery mix who just turned one in March and is currently waiting for his perfect family in Oklahoma. He brings together American Staffordshire Terrier, Australian Cattle Dog, American Pit Bull Terrier, and a handful of other breeds, landing him at a solid 55–60 lbs. Oreo had a rough start to life but hasn’t let it dim his energy or his sweet, social nature. He took to car rides right away (always calling dibs on the front seat), gets along easily with other dogs, and enjoys people time at the park. Oreo is bouncy with young-dog enthusiasm, yet he burns out quickly and settles happily for cuddles or TV time, especially if Clifford the Big Red Dog is on. Inside, he’s already picking up on house manners—no accidents—so house training is mostly handled. Oreo can be a bit jumpy when greeting, so a home with children 10 and up is best. He’s also open to meeting feline roommates, if you’re curious. His quirks add to his charm, like dunking his front paws in his water bowl just because. Oreo is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and comes with comprehensive health care. Adoptive families outside Oklahoma will meet Oreo via transport at regional hubs; he’s travel-ready with vet checks right before departure. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

Questions about Oreo

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Oreo, a mix of American Staffordshire Terrier and Australian Cattle Dog, will do well in a home where he gets regular interaction, moderate activity, and access to both indoor comforts and a safe outdoor space. These breeds are adaptable but thrive best with human companionship.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Oreo’s breed mix enjoys daily walks and bursts of play, but he doesn't require vast amounts of space. A secure yard or regular trips to a park will suit him just fine, especially since he settles nicely after some exercise.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Oreo gets along with children and his mix is usually solid with kids, though given his energetic greetings, homes with children 10 and up are best. Supervision and basic training go a long way to ensure smooth interactions.
