Formerly part of a managed feral colony, he vanished for a while and came back in rough shape—thin, tired, with breathing trouble and a drooling mouth. When radiographs revealed he had megaesophagus, it explained why, no matter how hard he ate, he couldn’t put on weight. He faced a long list of challenges—anemia, dehydration, parasites, pain—but kept pushing through with steady, quiet determination. Eight months on, with careful feeding routines, elevated bowls, and consistent care, Filo has regained his strength and nearly doubled his weight.
