Born in May 2018, Lulu has faced more than her share of challenges—serious neglect, a rough start in Texas, heart defects, and a tough case of demodex mange that left her raw and itchy for a time. With dedicated care, her skin has healed nicely, and Lulu now manages her congenital heart conditions with medication and a successful surgery. Her prognosis is guarded, but she's full of spirit and grace. Lulu thrives around people of all ages—though she does best in a household without young children since she can be strong and energetic. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and even cats. Her soulful eyes and sweet nature make her hard to resist. Whoever brings Lulu home will need to commit to regular vet checkups to help her thrive as long as possible, but this vibrant, affectionate girl is absolutely worth it.
