About Blue
Blue is an 8-year-old Australian Shepherd with classic good looks and an eager-to-please attitude. After being adopted from Green Dogs Unleashed, he spent several happy years with another Aussie but now needs a fresh start due to changes at home. House trained and responsive, Blue walks well on leash, enjoys car rides, and is happiest when engaged with his people. His favorite games are fetch and frisbee, with a history of disc dog competition experience, and he thrives on regular interaction and routine. Blue’s background has been mostly calm and predictable, so his preferences regarding children, cats, and other dogs are still being assessed. He’ll do best in a stable home that values the loyal, active, and intelligent qualities of the Aussie breed. If you appreciate a devoted buddy who is past the chaos of puppyhood but still eager to play, Blue is a strong fit. Applicants must commit to positive reinforcement training with Green Dogs Unleashed. In-person Canine 101 classes are preferred, but select out-of-area adopters can complete training virtually and attend approved classes locally. The adoption process requires an in-person meet and greet at the Troy, VA headquarters. Click apply to start the adoption process.
