Her playful energy is matched with gentle loyalty, making her well suited for families and active adopters alike.
About Lucy
Lucy is eight months old and has already lived through a lot of change. She's a shy dog at first, but she works hard at getting braver and warmer with new people. Her early days were tough—taken from her mother too young and moved into a shelter with her siblings, she landed in foster care where she watched every brother and sister find a family. Now it's just Lucy, but she's not discouraged. She's a smaller Great Dane mix, which means you get that classic Dane personality without the giant footprint (or budget). Lucy LOVES to play, especially with other dogs, and would really enjoy a canine companion. She’s crate trained, knows some basic commands, and has plenty of stamina if you like to hike or run. She forms loyal bonds and will always be ready for snuggles and quiet time after a day of activity. Lucy is treat-motivated, eager to learn, and playful without being overwhelming. She does best with a fenced yard and could fit into many family shapes, including homes with children. She hasn’t lived with cats but could be tested. She’s waiting in Iron Station, NC, for someone ready to offer her a forever spot on the couch. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
