About Lucy

Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Meet Lucy, a stunning 4-month-old Great Dane mix whose long legs and lean frame hint at just how large she’ll become! Lucy’s blend of Dane, Corso, Pitbull, and Husky gives her a unique and elegant look, and she’s already winning hearts with both her regal stride and classic puppy exuberance. At home, Lucy is an outgoing, inquisitive pup always eager for play sessions with her brother and happy to chase after any toy. She cherishes human affection and adores attention from her loved ones. Lucy is both house and crate trained, and she understands commands like “No” and “Leave it”—though she still shows her puppy side by needing occasional reminders. Leash training is in progress, and she’s improving with consistency and care. In public, Lucy can be a little shy or nervous at first, but each outing is building her confidence. Once she’s spent her energy, Lucy becomes the ultimate snuggler who loves curling up beside you and soaking in your love. Her gentle, sweet gaze shows just how much she wants to be the best girl she can be. Lucy will thrive in a home with another playful dog to keep her company and help her learn new things. A fenced yard is essential to give her a safe space to stretch her legs and burn off her lively puppy energy. Currently fostered in Pilot Mountain, NC, Lucy’s search for her forever family is supported by Great Dane Friends of Ruff Love, who cover NC and surrounding states for adoption. There are some requirements: a fully-fenced yard (no invisible fencing and no exceptions for puppies), stairs in the home must have slip-resistant material, all other animals in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations, and all dogs should live indoors as family members. The approval process involves an application, vet and reference checks, phone interview, and home visit. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
