She is a calm, affectionate senior who would thrive in a quiet, loving home that understands and appreciates the needs of an older bulldog. Rudi's favorite activity is sleeping, preferably curled into a perfectly crafted blanket nest. During the day, she enjoys snoozing on the rug or sofa, and at night she sleeps in her kennel and does very well. Occasionally, she may bark overnight to ask for an extra potty break. She enjoys leisurely walks, stopping to smell everything is the main event, and she loves car rides, especially when the destination is something just for her. Rudi is friendly and enjoys meeting new people, but she has shown that she is not particularly interested in socializing with other dogs. She does fine meeting children while out and about, but in the home, she prefers a calm environment and does not seek out interaction with kids. She has never lived with cats, so her behavior around them is unknown, though she does enjoy startling the backyard bunnies. Because of her short legs, stairs can be challenging for Rudi, though her determination often helps her get where she wants to go. A home with minimal stairs would be ideal. Medical Notes: Rudi has entropion, which is currently causing eye irritation and is using eye drops to help manage the symptoms. She also has a mass on her paw that was biopsied and showed spindle cells, but there was not enough information to determine whether it is benign or malignant. At this time, the mass is not painful and does not affect her mobility. Rudi also experiences urinary incontinence and tends to urinate while sleeping, a diaper can be used to help keep things tidy. Rudi Pebbles is a sweet, easygoing senior who has a lot of love to give. She is looking for a compassionate home ready to provide comfort, patience, and understanding as she enjoys her golden years.
