About Garth
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Meet Garth, a one-year-old neutered male Australian Cattle Dog mix weighing around 30-35 lbs, with a beautiful red merle and white coat that highlights his unique charm. Garth’s journey hasn’t been an easy one—he was recently adopted but returned through no fault of his own, simply because his adopter’s home wasn’t the right match for his needs. He spent his early months in a puppy mill, so he’s still learning how to trust and settle into a loving home environment. Patience will be key as Garth takes his time to warm up and adjust. For Garth’s happiness and growth, a home with direct access to a fully fenced yard is essential, especially for his potty breaks, and he would truly thrive in a place without stairs. He is crate trained (though he may be vocal while adjusting) and did well with cats in his previous home. Garth enjoys the company of other dogs and would benefit greatly from a confident canine companion to help show him the ropes. On leash, he walks well once he’s comfortable, and he can become potty trained if kept on a consistent routine. Long distance adoptions are considered for the right home (with travel at the adopter’s expense), and Garth can’t wait to find a family who has the time, patience, and loving environment he deserves. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
