About Garth
Garth is a one-year-old neutered male Australian Cattle Dog mix, weighing around 30–35 lbs and sporting a short merle coat with touches of red and white. He’s bounced back from tough beginnings in a puppy mill and is still learning what it means to feel safe and at home. Garth needs time to settle in and will do best in a house with direct access to a fully fenced yard. Ideally, he’d have another confident dog around to reassure him and help him get his bearings. He’s shown he can get along well with both dogs and cats, and he’s crate trained, although he may be vocal during transitions. Routine helps Garth stay on track with potty training. He’s got potential to be a relaxed leash walker once he trusts his surroundings. Stairs aren’t his thing, so a no-stairs home would be ideal. Garth is friendly, bright, and playful, but adopters should be ready for a slow warm-up period. If you’ve got the right setup and patience, he’ll make a loyal companion. Start your journey together!
