About Nova

Nova is a 13 to 14 year old Heeler who came to the shelter as a stray in Saint Marys, PA. Even as a senior, she keeps an active pace and still enjoys her walks—especially when the weather cooperates. Nova is set to be spayed and microchipped soon, but she’s already up to date on her vaccinations, and has been treated for fleas and dewormed. She’s the classic Heeler in both spirit and temperament: energetic despite her years, happiest when out exploring. Nova is deaf, so she needs a home with someone who’s experienced with dogs and can appreciate her communication style. She does best in a home without young children but previously lived with cats, so a feline friend isn’t out of the question. House trained and polite on a leash, she is a solid walking partner ready for someone who values routine and time outdoors. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
