About Joker
Joker is a young Rottweiler with a serious story. At just a year and a half old, he has already spent most of his life in foster care, working through the tough reality of being born with severe hip dysplasia. He’s undergone intensive surgery (FHO) to give him a better shot at a pain-free life, and he’s still in the thick of rehab—walking short distances, doing daily stretches, and heading to water therapy each week to keep building muscle. You’ll notice Joker’s gait isn’t perfect, and adopters need real commitment: his routine isn’t going away, and future orthopedic issues are possible. But Joker is more than his diagnosis. He’s making gains, has a solid foster support system, and what he needs most is someone willing to join the team for the long haul. If you’ve been searching for a genuinely special dog to invest in, Joker might very well be the one. He’ll remain with his foster unless his next person is ready to carry on the rehab journey. All pets in the adopting home must be spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, and on heartworm prevention. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?

Questions about Joker
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Joker is a Rottweiler, a breed that usually does well in homes that offer space and structure. Rottweilers thrive with consistent routines and secure environments, and for Joker’s needs, an adopter with patience and a quiet space would be a good fit.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Rottweilers like Joker typically appreciate a yard or outdoor area to stretch and explore. Given Joker’s mobility limitations, he’d benefit from a safe, accessible yard for his exercises rather than large, demanding spaces.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Rottweilers are often loyal and protective, and many adjust well to homes with children. Joker’s ongoing rehabilitation and mobility sensitivities may require supervision around very active or young kids, but with guidance, Rottweilers generally adapt.
