About Osa

Start your journey together! Apply now. Osa is an eager-to-please, truly sweet, 5-year-old, spayed female Shepherd mix with a beautiful black coat. She’s fully house-trained and walks exceptionally well on leash, showing almost no pulling, and has quickly picked up commands like “sit” and “wait.” Osa responds well to gentle, verbal corrections and continues to impress with her easy trainability. A survivor of TVT and recent successful surgery, Osa currently takes Gabapentin and enjoys her special Hills Prescription Diet to keep her urinary tract healthy, along with a daily cranberry supplement. She wears a cone to help her surgery wounds heal and takes everything in stride. Osa is a total lovebug, happiest cuddling on the couch and soaking up as much attention and affection as you’re willing to give. Despite her deeply affectionate nature, she also has a playful and energetic side—long walks (2-4 miles daily) and runs are her favorite! Kong games, wrestling, and spontaneous zoomies provide her with fun and stimulation indoors, making her a delightful blend of mellow and lively. Osa sometimes takes a little time to warm up to new people and situations. She appreciates slow introductions, especially with new faces and males, as she can be a bit protective if approached quickly. She prefers letting people come to her pace, especially when she's wearing her cone. Once comfortable, she just wants to please and love her family. An ideal home for Osa would be with active adopters who can give her daily exercise and plenty of cuddles. She’s fine being left alone for several hours and has no separation anxiety. Osa is likely to do well with respectful children, cats, and friendly dogs. Her adoption even includes a free four-week virtual Goodpup training scholarship to help her transition into her new home with confidence. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
