About Parker

Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Meet Parker, the sweetest big boi looking for his forever home! Parker is a 2-year-old, 80-pound Shepherd mix who has experienced a lot of change recently, but he’s shown so much resilience along the way. After being transferred from Pasadena due to the fires, spending time in various foster homes, and now residing with his current rescue crew since January 19, Parker is doing his best to settle in and find a place to call his own. Parker is neutered, potty trained, and making good progress with both crate and leash training. He’s a quick learner—especially if you show up with treats! He knows a few tricks already and is very good at following the “wait” command, whether it’s for food or at the door. Generally calm and independent, Parker enjoys napping, relaxing, and playing with his chew toys. He’s big on exploring the outdoors and loves a good sniff around the yard. While he can be a little nervous around new people, with a few barks or by keeping his distance, he warms up quickly and soon becomes affectionate and eager for belly rubs. Though he's lived harmoniously with another dog (a Corgi!) in the past, Parker can be reactive on leash when encountering other dogs and may need slow and supervised introductions to any canine siblings. He hasn’t spent much time around children, so a household with older, calm kids is likely the best fit. Parker doesn’t require an intense exercise routine—just 10–15 minutes of active play a day is perfect, and fetch is his favorite! He would thrive in a home with a yard, and with someone who is home most of the time to help him bond and feel secure. Once settled, Parker’s affectionate and loyal personality truly shines. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
