About Milton
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Milton, the good-natured Spaniel mix with a heart full of love! At 4 years old and about 27 lbs, Milton has overcome a tough past after being rescued in TJ, where he waited for help after being struck by a car. Thanks to loving foster care, he’s blossomed into a gentle, house-trained, leash-savvy companion with perfect home-alone manners—just hold on to the leash if birds are around, as he’s a bit excitable! Milton is endlessly affectionate and has a calm, cuddly side, making him the ideal partner for cozy days in. His mealtime “happy taps” and enthusiastic walk routines will brighten any home. While he’s learned to ignore other dogs out on walks, Milton prefers being the only dog at home and would thrive in an adult-only environment where his space and boundaries are respected. No cats, please—he’s displayed a strong prey drive. Milton is muzzle trained, doesn’t enjoy being picked up, and asks for an adopter who understands his need for space and advocates for his comfort. To manage previous neck pain due to disc compression, he’s successfully taking Carprofen and Gabapentin. If you’re searching for a mellow, loving, and loyal companion who will cherish snuggles and gentle attention, Milton is waiting to meet you at The Animal Pad. He’s ready to find a family that will spoil him with the love and understanding he deserves. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
