About Lando

This could be the start of something paw-some. Meet Lando, a vibrant and loving 1.5-year-old male neutered Shepherd mix who was saved from a high-kill shelter at the very last moment. Lando is completely house trained and does great putting on his harness, though he could benefit from extra practice with loose leash walking. While he's not a big fan of the crate at first, a treat will lure him in, and once inside, he relaxes calmly. Lando is an energetic companion who plays enthusiastically with other dogs and thrives on affection from his people. He’s proven himself to be wonderful around older children and teens (especially when food boundaries are respected), and he’s happiest when his days are filled with both fun and chill-out time with his family. Rarely barking and always ready for adventure, he makes a great running or workout buddy. Lando has completed a board and train program to work on resource guarding with food and is looking for a family who will consistently reinforce his training, ideally with the kitchen being off limits and mindful supervision of meal times. Lando’s perfect home would be active, have another playful dog and either adults only or a family with teenagers who understand his needs. He prefers not to be left alone for long periods while he continues to work on his separation anxiety. With his gratitude, energy, and goofy spirit, Lando is sure to keep you laughing and fill your home with love. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
