About Betty

This could be the start of something paw-some. Meet betty, your perfect companion! She's a gentle-hearted, six-year-old, medium-sized Terrier mix weighing about 53 pounds, who has overcome a traumatic past in Mexico and is now ready for a fresh start at The Animal Pad. Spayed and up to date on all vaccinations, betty is missing a few teeth, so she thrives best on a mix of wet and dry food. She may be timid initially, but with some patience and compassion, her loving and affectionate personality shines through. Once comfortable, betty enjoys belly rubs, engaging in tug o' war or chewing on her favorite toys, and going for sniff-filled walks. She's completely house trained and walks politely on a leash—though she does enjoy the occasional lizard or squirrel chase! Crate-free life suits her best, as she tends to get anxious in confined spaces, but she's trustworthy when left with a baby gate or x-pen. Betty truly flourishes with a mellow doggy companion and feels content while her people are away as long as she isn't totally alone. She would do best in a home without cats and would likely thrive with older, respectful children. If you’re searching for a sweet, loyal friend who just needs a little understanding to flourish, betty could be the perfect addition to your family. Give them the home they have been waiting for.
