Would you ever believe that this gentle girl once weathered a thunderstorm alone? She was abandoned in a field, wind howling, sky cracking open, her little body shaking in the shrubs. A bag of dog food - tossed by the road like an afterthought - was her only lifeline. It took three days for fear to loosen its grip, three days for her to finally step out and say, "Okay... maybe hope still exists." Hope did exist. And it had her name. Fast forward to now: Holly has bloomed like a wildflower after the rain, stretching toward love with an eagerness that could bring a poet to tears. She is a velcro companion of the highest order - a loyal shadow with warm snuggles, silent devotion, and a habit of inching just a liiiittle closer every time you stop petting. She LOVES her people. All of them. Entirely. Excessively. Majestically. And her canine resume? A fascinating performance piece. She lives with several dogs of all sizes and considers herself... management. A forewoman. A shift supervisor. A self-appointed referee of fun. Whether it's tug-of-war, zoomies, or a complicated game of "I herd you because I love you," Holly is ready to lead the charge. Her heeler brain whispers, "I am the boss," but the other dogs occasionally whisper back, "No, you're not," and the resulting comedy is priceless. At 4 years old, Holly is house trained, kennel trained, spayed, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, emotionally available, spiritually healing, and ready for the next chapter - the real one, the good one, the forever one. She's survived storms, learned trust, rediscovered joy, and now she's ready to adore a family the way only a once-forgotten dog can. Is it you? Is it her turn? The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
