About Slim
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Meet Slim, the sweetest survivor you could hope to meet. Slim has journeyed from the streets of Detroit to a life of love and healing, overcoming more than most ever will. While his start was rough—he was found severely emaciated at under 40 pounds when he should have been closer to 100—he’s now healthy, thriving, and has never lost his loving spirit. Slim is a stunning Cane Corso who’s on his way to being the ultimate gentle giant. His tail wags with joy, and he has nothing but affection to give. He’s fantastic with other dogs, whether they’re big or small, and he immediately becomes part of the pack. Playful and goofy, Slim loves rolling on his back with toys and soaking up all the attention and affection he can get. As he continues to gain weight and work towards his healthy goal, Slim’s spirit and resilience shine through every day. He’s great with kids (ages 10+ recommended, simply due to his size), adores dogs, and would thrive in a home that celebrates playtime, belly rubs, and companionship. Ready to find his forever family, Slim is waiting for someone special—could it be you? Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
