About Scran

Meet Scran, a gentle, food-loving cuddlebug who’s eager to leave his stray days behind and finally settle into a home. His story started tucked inside a doghouse, looking for warmth and safety. No microchip, no owner, and nobody came for him—so he became part of the rescue family. Now about three years old, Scran is ready to find the place he’s always deserved. This brown, short-haired Domestic Short Hair is incredibly friendly and affectionate, with a soft, easygoing personality. Scran adores company at mealtime—he’ll happily eat with you standing by, as if he just wants to share the moment. It’s a small quirk that says a lot about how much connection matters to him. Scran is FIV+, which means he’ll need a safe indoor life, to avoid raw foods, and to keep up on his vaccines, but his overall lifespan shouldn’t be affected. He’s best as a solo cat or with other FIV+ cats, and he does well with dogs—a rare find for adopters who already have a pup at home. Scran recently mingled with crowds at Rescue on the Rocks and soaked up attention from everyone, though he’s still waiting for the right adopter. He gets along with children and is house trained. As his personality continues to unfold in foster care, it’s clear he’s a gentle, loyal companion looking for safety and affection. Born August 13th, Scran is a Leo—no wonder he basks in attention. If you want a quiet, loving friend who’ll greet you with warmth and share mealtimes, Scran may be the match you’re seeking. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
