Though she prefers independence, her playful nature comes through once comfortable.
About Acadia
Meet Acadia, a striking young tuxedo with a strong independent streak. Now about 3 years old, she's athletic, sharp, and utterly obsessed with wand toys—especially anything with feathers. If there’s a cardboard box or a crinkle toy in reach, she won’t let the opportunity for a little exploration go to waste. Catnip brings out her goofiest side. Acadia’s personality is rich: she’s clever, adventurous, and knows what she wants. She’s spent time coexisting with other cats and does well with them after a proper introduction, as long as her personal space is respected. She’s fine around respectful dogs, provided they don’t get in her face. Acadia was once a stray and a young mother; her kittens have moved on, and she’s grown a lot in foster care—her trust in people is genuine, but slow to build. She’ll never be a lap cat, but her unique mix of affectionate playfulness and independent spirit is rewarding for those patient enough to let her come around on her own terms. Acadia will do best in a quiet, steady home with a friendly resident cat and adults who understand that she’ll need space to decompress and time to trust. She’s playful, curious, and a little wild, bringing warmth and moments of joy if you meet her where she is. A fun fact: Acadia, born October 1, is a Libra—that means she may surprise you with her sense of balance and appreciation for her own rhythm. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
