About Milo
Milo is the sweetest kitty who rescued himself! He entered our care in very rough condition but has not let that dim his affectionate nature. He's had some bad teeth removed, so with only one tooth remaining, Milo is on a wet-food-only diet and will need a home comfortable accomodating such. He has come to a few events with us and absolutely basks in all the attention, happily cuddling with anyone who wishes to hold him - including kids! Milo is FIV+, this does not currently impact his day to day life and he is just a happy senior boy. He also had one eye removed due to detached ligaments and glaucoma in that eye, and now receives drops in his remaining eye. He is good with kids and loves wet food, licky snacks, & cuddles! He really enjoys sitting on your lap, being brushed, and has become very playful with his toys so he would do well with an owner who can be home often. FIV spreads through deep bite wounds, so for the safety of any other cats it would be best for Milo to be an only cat or live with other FIV+ cats. Milo is eligible for our Seniors For Seniors program, meaning his adoption fee will be waived for adopters over 65 years of age. Please apply to adopt at www.TTRRescue.com or email TTRRescue@gmail.com with any questions. Adoption Process Our adoption process helps match pets with their families. After submitting your cat or dog application, we contact references, and schedule a virtual or in-person home visit. We encourage virtual or in-person meet and greets with your potential new companion. Once everything is approved, we celebrate as your new furry friend officially becomes part of your family! Adoption Policies Out of State adoptions are possible for the right match but dependent on transport capabilities. At this time our adoptions are limited to applicants who are 18 or older. Virtual meet & greets are available for applicants without an application* In-person meet & greets are available for applicants with an application* We require adopters' pets to be up to date on their rabies vaccine as per NYS law and highly encourage additional vaccinations. *Depending on foster availability and comfort level.
