AvailableCody is a three-year-old male English Bulldog of medium size currently located at CompAnimals Pet Rescue. He is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccinations. He gets along well with dogs and children, making him a loving companion for an experienced home.
About Cody
Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Cody is a three-year-old English Bulldog with a unique spirit and an even bigger heart. He was taken in when his previous owners believed euthanasia was their only choice due to his spina bifida, most likely the result of inbreeding for rare color or compact size. Despite this, Cody is not mobility challenged; he simply lacks some muscle tone on his backside, resulting in partial control over his bowel movements and occasional dribbling of urine. Thankfully, a structured routine, a good diet, and a male wrap ensure that nearly all of his accidents are managed well. Sweet and sociable, Cody fits right in with other dogs in foster care and is surprisingly athletic for his breed—he enjoys running, loves water, and cherishes car rides. He’s quite tolerant of the heat if high humidity is avoided and can comfortably walk up to two miles. Cody does have a touch of separation anxiety and can be reactive on leash, but his foster mom continues to help him improve in these areas. He will likely require more frequent veterinary care than the average bulldog, so he is best suited for a family experienced with similar needs and excellent veterinary references. Once approved, meet-and-greets and a home visit with Cody can be arranged. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
