About Lucy
Lucy is a 2-year-old German Shepherd mix with a big personality and plenty of affection to share. Weighing 65lbs and sporting a classic medium-length shepherd coat, she stands out for her people-loving nature—she truly hasn’t met a stranger. Lucy is fantastic with kids and loves being surrounded by people. Her favorite moments involve playtime with other playful pups, although she's happiest with non-dominant dogs. She’s crate and house trained, rarely makes a peep while you’re away, and is always eager to please. On walks, Lucy is learning to curb her excitement and pull less, and she’s already mastered commands like "sit," "shake," "down," and "crate." Toys are a big hit, but she never guards them and is perfectly happy to share. Her drive for food makes her easy to train, and she remains calm when meals and high-value items are around. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and ready to join an active home, especially one that can offer plenty of exercise or even another large, lively playmate. Lucy does not get along with cats. She recently had a blast hiking at Pismo Preserve, showing off her adventurous side. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
