Leo is a shepherd mix with a striking look and an even bigger heart. He was pulled from the euthanasia list with another dog and has flourished in foster care, though he's still waiting for his permanent home—over six months now. Leo charms everyone he meets with his goofy, outgoing personality. He genuinely enjoys being with people, dishes out affection freely, and gets along with other dogs, especially females and smaller males. During group play, he likes to play sheriff, full of character but never overbearing. At about 80lbs, Leo is a large, solid companion. He’s crate trained, reliably housebroken, and walks well on a prong collar—his future adopter should know how to use one or be open to learning. He’ll routinely rub against bushes and people's legs like a big cat, and he’s known to let out a good howl if a fire truck passes by.
